Maintenance operation of stainless steel ball valve

Stainless steel ball valve is a commonly used valve instrument, which is mainly used to cut off, distribute and change the flow direction of the medium. It has the advantages of simple structure, small volume, light weight, low fluid resistance, and convenient maintenance. The stainless steel ball valve needs certain maintenance during use, which can ensure the normal operation of the stainless steel ball valve. So how to maintain the stainless steel ball valve? Today I will introduce the maintenance method of the stainless steel ball valve in detail.  
  Maintenance operation of stainless steel ball valve:   
  First: After the finished product, after pickling, it must be rinsed. If there are sand holes or perforations, argon arc welding should be used for gas shielded welding. Then it is polished and then solid-melted;   
  Second: the finished product, after the pressure test is completed. It should be rinsed with water added with anti-rust powder.  
  Third: Try to use wooden boxes for packaging during transportation, and do not touch metal products.  
  Fourth: After installing the pipeline, regularly maintain and maintain it. For example, the valve stem is often lubricated. Properly open and close the valve several times. It is not easy to assimilate the inner ball, valve stem and sealing surface.  
  Stainless steel ball valves generally have two structures: reduced diameter and non-reduced channels. Regardless of the structure, the flow resistance coefficient of the ball valve is relatively small.  
  Especially the so-called full-flow type, that is, the ball valve that does not reduce the diameter, because its channel diameter is equal to the inner diameter of the pipeline, the local resistance loss is only the friction resistance of the pipeline of the same length, that is, the flow resistance of this kind of ball valve is the smallest among all valves. In the rocket launch and its test system, the resistance of the pipeline is required to be as small as possible.  
  There are two ways to reduce the resistance of the piping system: one is to reduce the fluid flow rate. For this reason, it is necessary to increase the pipe diameter and valve diameter, which will often have an adverse effect on the economy of the piping system, especially for the low-temperature transportation system ( Liquid hydrogen) is extremely unfavorable.  
 (1) Reduce the local resistance of the valve, therefore, the ball valve is naturally the best choice.  
 (2) The opening and closing of the ball valve is quick and convenient.  
 Since the ball valve generally only needs to rotate the handle 90° to complete the fully open or fully closed action, it is easy to achieve rapid opening and closing. It can realize fast opening and closing, and the opening and closing time of some structures is only 0.05-0.1s to ensure that it can be used in the automation system of the test bench. When opening and closing the valve quickly, there is no shock in operation.  
 (3) The ball valve has good sealing performance.  
 The valve seats of most ball valves are made of elastic materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene, and the sealing pair composed of metal and non-metal materials is usually called a soft seal. Generally speaking, the tightness of the soft seal is easy to ensure, and the processing accuracy and surface roughness of the sealing surface are not very demanding.  
 (4) The ball valve has a long service life.  
 Because PTFE has good self-lubricating properties, the friction and wear with the ball is small, and due to the improvement of the ball processing technology, the roughness is reduced, thereby increasing the service life of the ball valve.
